Dr Lee studied Medicine in the University of St Andrews and then the University of Manchester, graduating in 2010. After qualifying as a GP, he joined Manor House Surgery in 2016, and has then gone on to become a GP Partner here, helping to oversee the running of Howard Medical Practice and the Joint Injection clinics. Outside of work, he loves drinking black coffee, spending time with his dogs, and supporting Arsenal FC.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

SHAB SINGLETON

Shab has been with us since 2017 and is a hugely important part of our team. She has an abundance of skills but her most recognised specialities are our our baby clinic, cervical smears, travel vaccinations and contraception advice. She undertakes our patient Asthma and COPD reviews and is also our practice Learning Disability Champion. She has a great rapport with patients, has an infectious personality and great way of making all our patients feel welcomed and relaxed. Shab's full Specialities are: Cervical Smears, Travel Vaccinations, Baby Clinic, Child Immunisations, Contraception Advice, Depo Injections, Zoladex Injections, Minor Injury service, Wound Care, Asthma Reviews, COPD Reviews, Learning Disability Heath Checks, NHS Health Checks.

Carley is our newly appointed HCA. She has over 5 years experience in a clinical setting and has previously worked alongside District Nurses. Although she is new to general practice, she was previously part of the Glossop Health Team who work on behalf of all practices in Glossop & Hadfield and care for our patients out in the community. Carley is a great addition to our team and has taken to her new role with ease. She has a warm and friendly personality and is great with our patients.

Senior Clinical Administrator

Helen has been part of our reception team for over 10 years and has now changed her role to practice administration. She deals with all our clinical paperwork and actions all the referrals that have been requested by the GP's. If you require any advice or information regarding an ongoing referral or clinic/hospital letter, please call the surgery and follow the automated link to speak directly with Helen. Helen also manages our Reception team to ensure that they have all the up-to-date information and training that they require in order to provide the best service possible to our patients.

Reception

Our dedicated Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial point of contact for everything. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses, issue repeat prescriptions and deal with all your prescription enquiries, sick note requests and so much more. They are the heart of our team and are experts at multitasking. Being patient facing they often have the most demanding and challenging role of all and deserve a HUGE amount of respect for the great job they do. The team comprises Nikki, Denise and Julie.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
